Does anyone know of a good english to Japanese translator?

I'm trying to get some words translated, but any translator I have found always displays the words in Japanese symbols instead of just a readable word. (for instance, If I wanted to translate thank you I'd like to get back arigato, not a bunch of symbols I don't know how to read)Does anyone know of a good english to Japanese translator?
Automated online translators catagorically don't work. They mostly rely on using the most common definition of a word when translating rather than judging from context so most translations beyond very very simple sentences come out as jiberish.



You are better off using an online dictionary, learning some grammar and translating the text yourself, if you can't just go ask a native speaker what it means.

So what you need is a good English to Romaji translator. Only go word for word though cos otherwise it makes no sense at all!

Try looking at some electronic stores, I saw a nice variety of translators at best buy and Circuit City. they range from 19 dollars to over 100 dollars.
