they have a word which to me sounds like 'si-fu' phonetically but i want to know what it is in chinese because the translators give something else entirely.|||It is "shi fu" in mandarin chinese. The movie is in cantonese dialect, so it becomes "si-fu".|||In Mandarin Chinese :
"sh墨fu" (Pinyin, traditional 甯倕, simplified 甯堝倕) :
- 'teacher'; 'master' (especially in Martial arts); 'sifu'
- a polite form of address for an adult
- a polite way to address a skilled worker (carpenter, plumber etc) or craftsman
