What is the meaning of the Latvian word "jādzied" and how is it pronounced?

I have seen this word on several Latvian sites but Latvian-English translators come up empty. Just in case Yahoo messes up the special character: The word is spelled "jadzied" with a line over the 'a'.

Thanks!|||Ooh, I'm dreadfully rusty, but I think it means here "must sing" - will come back to you later when I've consulted.

The pronunciation is:

Yah dzeard, sort of. Accent on first syllable; the line over the "a" makes it long. The "dz" is just as spelt. The "ie" is almost like an "ear" sound, an "ee-ah" put together quickly, or like in "peered"

Edit: The above is correct! This is from consultation with a Latvian. Do you want a translation of the rest of the question?|||Thanks!
