What is the german equivalent of the enlish word: onamonapia?

onamonapia means a word that imitates or suggests the source of the sound that it describes. Thanks! I tried using the online dictionaries and translators but none gave me an answer.|||I guess you mean "onomatopoeia"

Onomatopoesie (also called: Lautmalerei), the word itself would be called "Onomatopoetikum" or "Onomatopoetikon" (or just "lautmalerisches Wort")|||Do you mean onomatopoeia?

If so, the equivalent word, using a translator, would be Lautmalerei.
